Why is our area perfect for cycling?
Autignac is located 20 km's North of Beziers in the heart of the finest Languedoc vineyards and is on the edge of the Haut Languedoc Regional Parc that rises to 1100 metres above sea level and is the gateway to the Cevennes mountains. The riding is amongst the best in France and is on traffic free roads along the rolling Mediterranean plains or for the more adventurous challenging climbs are within an hours ride of Le Saint André. Furthermore Languedoc-Roussillon benefits from over 300 days of sunshine per year so rarely is there any excuses for not riding and we have managed to keep riding throughout the winter months.

GPS & Route cards
We can provide just about any level of riding to suit your level and expectations. We have extensive knowledge of the area and have produced route cards that are simple to follow or you can use one of our Garmin Edge GPS trackers. All routes have been planned to avoid main roads, take in the best scenery, places of interest and provide the all important coffee or lunch stop!

When to come
Springtime in the Languedoc is perfect as the Mediterranean climate brings the fields and vineyards back to life with colour and the temperature is not too hot. July and August are hot and sunny but perfect for combining either some morning or evening rides with a day on one of the Languedocs beautiful natural beaches just 35 minutes away from Le Saint André. September is always my favorite time to ride as the vineyards are a hive of activity with the grape harvest and the temperatures cooler allowing for some long rides. October remains warm and dry and the changing colours of the languedoc are not to be missed.
 
Bike Hire
Good quality road and hybrid bikes are available to hire. With advance notice we can arrange delivery and collection to maximise your riding time.

Secure storage and workshop facility
We understand how precious your bike is and can provide secure storage, cleaning facilities and a workshop with tools, stand and some basic spares.

Laundry
A washing machine is available free of charge to our guests.

Food & Drink
A copious cyclists breakfast is served on the terrace or in the dining room. Seasonal fruit and compotes, yoghurts, breads and patisserie, preserves, homemade organic granola, cheese and or even porridge during the cooler months. Drink juices, tea, coffee, chocolate (iced if preferred), infusions.

Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available in the guest kitchen at all times of the day and are included in the price of your holiday. We have an honesty bar with beer and local wine available at a small extra charge.

Most of our recommended routes allow for a lunch stop at a small cafe or restaurant giving you the opportunity to see why this region of France has such a good reputation for excellent cuisine. With prior notice we can supply packed lunches at 10.00€ per person and for longer days in the saddle we also have a small stock of energy bars and drinks available to purchase at a small extra charge.

A three course supper is included with all cycling packages at Le Saint André except on one night of your stay with us where we give you the opportunity to sample one of the local restaurants. We cook with seasonal and local produce where we can. We like to vary what we cook to keep life interesting.

Free time

Non riding partners
Le Saint André is the perfect base for non cycling partners and even your children. Why not mix in some early morning riding with a day at the beach with the family only 35 minutes from our village.

Prices do not include travel to and from France.
Prices do not include transfers. If guests do not wish to hire a car, we can arrange tranfers at an additional charge.
25% deposit to be paid at time of booking. Balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival.
